Version Numbers
Version numbers for Chinese Toolbox products are based on the following pattern:
- The first number represents the year, so in version 9.1.2 “9” refers to 2009.
- The second number (following the first dot) represents the release number in the specified year. Prior to version 11.0.0.0, per year release numbers always began with “1”, so version 9.1.0 was the
first release in 2009. Beginning in 2011, the first product release in a given year is represented by a zero (second digit of version), so the first release of 2011 was 11.0.0.0.
- The third number (following the second dot) is the minor release number, so version 9.1.2 was the second minor update of version 9.1.0.
- With the release of Chinese Toolbox READER 9.2.0.0, a fourth digit was added. This number (following the third dot) is the bug-fix release number.
